about
"Slow burning and sensual." -Gray Owl Point
"Melt" explores the process of moving through a deep life transition and coming into deeper balance. Regret and despair shift to hope, renewal and awakening to real possibilities.
The video features twin contact dancers Brianna and Jaclyn Grant and was filmed on Beddis Beach, Salt Spring Island in BC. The twin sisters begin as polar opposite characters (representing yin and yang). As the song progresses they make contact and dance together in a confluence of grace, love and surrender.
I notice there’s a change
I’ve got to find myself again
I can’t stop the time i’m losing everyday
I wish i could return to all those places in my head
But the snow that has fallen always melts away
So bring on tomorrow
Though i don’t know where i’m going
But i’ll burn through the fire and i’ll burn through the rain
Because there’s life for anyone
There's life for anyone to find
I notice there’s a change
I’ve got to find myself again
Still waiting for something to come my way
Siftin’ the sand with so much to give - i don’t want to waste it
But the snow that has fallen always melts away
So bring on tomorrow
Though i don’t know where i’m going
But i’ll burn through the fire and i’ll burn through the rain
Because there’s life for anyone
There's life for anyone to find
